Project “Rīgas dzelzceļa mezgla posma Sarkandaugava–Mangaļi–Ziemeļblāzma modernizācija: būvniecība has been completed

In December 2023, implementation of the project “Modernisation of Section Sarkandaugava – Mangaļi – Ziemeļblāzma in Riga Railway Network: construction” was completed. The project covered construction of additional railway track at the section between railway station “Mangaļi” and “Ziemeļblāzma” together with the infrastructure (catenary system, Signalling wayside equipment, and the CBI control system), modernization of catenary system, tunnels, CBI system, digital coding (ALSN) and Trak Circuit systems. It also included SCADA systems for control of electrical substations, lighting, catenary system disconnectors, and point machine heating.

Moreover, the project involved wayside equipment installation, cable infrastructure construction, radio communication, dispatcher functionality for the traffic control, etc.

Services provided: engineering, supply, installation, starting-up, commissioning, warranty services. The project budget constituted around 20 million euro.
